Local support is a key for a successful long-term relationship between customers and international solution providers.
A solution no matter how good, if local support is not provided on-time, and with expert knowledge on the product, it will make the customer start looking for “alternatives”.
When we create partnerships with international vendors, we evaluate ourselves first, as to whether we have enough competencies to gain the product knowledge (sales & marketing, business wise, technically) know-how of the solution being offered by the international vendor. If we don’t, we make sure to build that up, prior to collaborating.
Though this path is pains taking, slow at times but is a sure path to success. Since this not only helps us make a strong base to acquire the necessary skills and technical domain expertise. It helps our international partners to transfer the skills quickly and easily. And effectively helps our customer, since they have the experts to support them locally, thus reducing costs and system downtimes.
